What are your fees? we charge by the hour for all individual
instruction. For classes, the charge depends on the length of the

for example, using the organization's files, or other unique setup
requirements. |

|

Where do you do your training?
At your location. Its most productive to learn on the same computer
that you use everyday. We service all locations in Westchester County,
and some surrounding areas as well. |

How long is each training session?
Individual sessions are two hours. Two hours is usually the optimal
amount of time, long enough to cover significant ground and short
enough to maintain a focused attention span. When requested, we are
happy to do longer sessions. Classes are usually half or full day
sessions. |

How many training sessions do most clients need?
Many clients find one two hour session is enough. We focus on the
specific task(s) they want to accomplish and by the end of the session
they know exactly what they need to do. Others need two or three
sessions to learn all they want. Then there are clients who are
"computer beginners" and want to become proficient - they need more
sessions, at least three or more, usually spread out over several weeks
or months, so they have sufficient time to practice on their own. |

What’s unique and different about the training you do?
Virtually everyone comes to us with a need - from filing issues to
formatting documents, using graphics and photos, to effective use of
spreadsheets and lots more. While we do teach comprehensive Word, Excel
etc. courses, our individual training approach assures that we cover
only the topics and most important techniques that are relevant to you.
Also, there are many different ways both to explain and accomplish any
given task - from experience we know how to pick the best method and
explanation for you. |

How is your help different from a computer service company?
Computer Services companies setup, fix and keep our systems and
networks running - including help with firewalls, malware (anti-virus,
spyware, etc.) Once your computer/network is working you need to make
the computer work for you. That means knowing how to use Windows and
Microsoft Office Programs to accomplish your everyday (and specialty)
tasks. That’s our work - computer training specific to the tasks you
need to accomplish. |

How long does it take to learn each product well?
The answer is - it depends. Well usually means, well enough to suit
your needs. Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Windows have literally
thousands of functions. How much of these products, and how long
depends on your needs, background and learning speed. |

Why is your training a valuable resource for SOHO users?
If you are a small office/home office (SOHO) user, undoubtedly you are
reliant on your computer to help run your business. For setup,
maintenance, or fix it support you can turn to computer service
companies. But where do you turn to get help for the myriad of computer
tasks essential to your business, for application problem solving and
for increasing the computer proficiency of you/your staff? Trial and
error and find someone to ask, are usually unreliable and time
consuming. Customized computer training, focused exclusively on your
needs is the answer. An investment in training will pay for itself over
and over. |

How do you help computer-phobic /frustrated computer users?
A majority of my clients, who are competent in so many other areas,
feel frustrated and helpless when they use a PC. They think computers
are something they can never master. Not so! We teach our clients how
to do their essential tasks, how to use the most important functions in
Windows and Microsoft Office programs, and what to do when unexpected
things happen. They become experimenters, problem-solvers, and yes,
productive PC users. People are amazed what they can do when they lose
their fear. I’ve witnessed this transformation over and over. |

Do you help older adults learn to use PCs?
We have a great deal of experience teaching older adults (of all ages),
individually and in classes, to become comfortable and productive PC
users. Everyone we have taught has reached their goal of being able to
do what’s important to them. Some get comfortable very quickly to work
on their own and do a wide variety of tasks; others want to learn only
how to use email and the internet. |
